Measure ring size
Tips & tools to easily find your perfect ring size at home
Not sure about your ring size? No worries.
At Atelier Médard, we’re happy to help you find the right size – so your ring fits perfectly.
Whether you’re buying a ring for yourself or as a gift, the tips below will help you take the right measurements.
Option 1: Measure a well-fitting ring
Do you already have a ring that fits the same finger? You can measure it easily:
- Place the ring on a ruler
- Measure the inner diameter in millimetres (not including the metal band)
- Use the chart below to find your EU size
Tip: Not sure between two sizes? Go for the larger one – it’s usually more comfortable.

Option 2: Measure the circumference of your finger
No ring at hand? No problem – measure your finger directly:
- Take a thin strip of paper or string
- Wrap it snugly around the finger where you’ll wear the ring
- Mark where the paper overlaps
- Measure the length up to the mark (in mm)
- Use the chart below to convert to your EU size

Best time to measure? In the evening. Fingers are slightly larger then, giving a more accurate result.
Slight variations may occur depending on the width and shape of the ring. For wider rings, we recommend going up half a size.
Do you need a smaller or larger size than what’s listed in our webshop? No problem – Atelier Médard creates every piece to order. Simply leave your desired size in the checkout notes or contact us directly.
