2. Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all orders placed with Atelier Médard, regardless of whether they are placed through the webshop, by email, by telephone, or in person. By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

3. Products and Prices

All Atelier Médard jewelry is designed and finished with the utmost care in our workshop. Some pieces are designed using 3D design software and then cast, after which they are finished by hand to create a unique final product. Other pieces are entirely handmade.

All prices are in euros, including VAT, but excluding shipping costs unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change prices or remove products from the offer.

4. Order and Payment

An order is binding once:

  • an order has been placed and paid for through the webshop, or
  • verbal or written agreement has been given by the customer and Atelier Médard based on a quote prepared by us.

The quote then constitutes a contract. Payment is made via the webshop's integrated payment module or, for offline orders, using the agreed payment method.

5. Delivery and Shipping Costs
  • Standard jewelry is shipped within 5 business days of payment.
  • Custom-made pieces are delivered within an average of 8 weeks, depending on the complexity and availability of materials.

We ship worldwide. Shipping costs are displayed at checkout or stated in the quote. For deliveries outside the EU, additional customs charges may apply, which are the customer's responsibility.

6. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Belgian law, consumers have the right to return a standard product (not custom-made) within 14 calendar days of receipt without giving any reason. The customer must notify us in advance by email.

Custom-made items are excluded from the right of withdrawal. Custom-made items are defined as all jewelry that is altered or personalized at the customer's request.

Return Policy:
  • The item must not have been worn and must be in its original, undamaged condition and packaging.
  • If the item shows signs of wear, Atelier Médard reserves the right to refuse the refund in whole or in part.
  • Return costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Warranty and Liability

Atelier Médard offers a statutory 2-year warranty on manufacturing defects from the date of delivery.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to careless or incorrect use
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Loss or theft
  • Damage due to external factors (such as drops, bumps, or contact with aggressive products)

Just as a scratch on a new car is not a manufacturing defect, damage from use is not covered by the warranty for jewelry.

8. Complaints

We aim to respond within 5 business days.

9. Intellectual Property

All designs and images on the Atelier Médard website are protected by copyright and are the property of Atelier Médard. Copying, reproducing, or using these products commercially is prohibited without written permission.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

All agreements are governed by Belgian law.
In the event of disputes, only the courts of the judicial district of Ghent have jurisdiction.
